Location:

Tullynahaw, Co. Roscommon, Republic of Ireland.

Description:

Tullynahaw is approximately 3km to the south of Garvagh Glebe Wind Farm. Due to the geographical proximity and co-incident timing of this project and that of Garvagh Glebe in Co. Leitrim (both projects are Gate 2 Grid connection offers), they are both being developed simultaneously.

The combined output of both wind farms will be exported via a dedicated 110kV substation, located on the Garvagh Glebe site.

Expected Commercial Operation Date:

Sept 2010 Produces enough green energy to meet the electricity needs of more than 33,000 homes.

Capacity:

22MW. Produces enough green energy to meet the electricity needs of more than 12,300 homes.

Technology:

11 x Vestas V80/2MW machines.

Emission Reductions per year:

  • 45,900 tonnes of CO2
  • 262 tonnes of SOX
  • 197 tonnes of NOX
